An ƙera ONT-1GEX (XPON 1GE ONU) musamman don biyan buƙatun masu aiki da sadarwa na FTTO (ofis), FTTD (tebur), FTTH (gida), hanyar sadarwa ta intanet ta SOHO, sa ido kan bidiyo, da sauransu. ONU ya dogara ne akan hanyoyin fasahar guntu masu aiki sosai, kuma yana tallafawa ayyukan Layer 2/Layer 3, yana ba da sabis na bayanai don aikace-aikacen FTTH na matakin mai ɗaukar kaya.
ONT yana da babban aminci kuma ana iya amfani da shi a yanayin zafi mai faɗi; kuma yana da aikin firewall mai ƙarfi, wanda yake da sauƙin sarrafawa da kulawa. Yana iya samar da garantin QoS don ayyuka daban-daban. ONT ya bi ƙa'idodin fasaha na duniya kamar IEEE802.3ah da ITU-T G.984.
